A classic nursing sports bra to go with everything in your workout wardrobe...

Why we think you'll love our Artemis nursing sports bra...

Firstly, you can buy your pre-pregnancy size and feel confident that the bra will fit with B–G cup sizing.

Secondly, the easy access clips make nursing easy and discreet. In addition, each breastfeeding sports bra comes with an additional bra extender should you need a wider band near the end of your pregnancy.

And importantly, the wide under band and the soft, elasticated straps have been designed to not dig in. This ensures total comfort, whether running or breastfeeding in our sports bra.

Key features:

  • Supportive fabric
  • Each breastfeeding sports bra comes with colour matched bra extender to see you through pregnancy
  • Lightly padded removable insert
  • Single hand clip access for easy feeding
  • Fabric-backed clips - no plastic to rub or dig in
  • Wide, soft and supportive straps that won’t dig in
  • Wear the straps straight down or cross-backed for extra support

HOW TO GET THE RIGHT SIZE...

Not sure what size you need? Take a look at our size guide below.  This chart calculates in line with the Boob or Bust size guides rather than the bra size you wear. This is because bra sizes vary hugely between brands and we want to ensure you get the best fit from our sports bra whether breastfeeding or still pregnant.

At the very least we recommend choosing the size that corresponds with your under bust measurement in inches - not your bra size!

We always recommend choosing your pre-pregnancy size for the best fit during and after pregnancy. If you are already pregnant and finding bras too tight, we'd typically suggest picking one size below your current under bust measurement and using the bra extender to the end of your pregnancy (for the best postnatal fit).

Still not sure? Drop us an email on help@natalactive.com with your measurements and current bra size and we will help you find the best fit!

It can be tricky to know what size to get when your shape is constantly changing. We want to ensure you get a perfect fit every time so have created this handy size guide to help you get it right.

Measuring bra size

If you are not sure what bra size you currently are, grab a tape measure and check out Boob or Bust who have a handy calculator, calibrated to take pregnancy and breastfeeding in to account.

Review for smaller busted, high impact activities and nursing

I was dubious, I'll admit it.
Overall feeling: absolutely love it.
Grand for support at the gym, love it for breastfeeding in.

I bought this bra while still pregnant, ordered size S. My pre-pregnancy size of sports bras would be an XS in everything.
The adjustable back strap was perfect, I did not need the extension strap.
I started wearing it from maybe 28 weeks onwards.
I am pleased to report that it is supportive enough for HIIT / any gym activity that I might do, which includes any amount of jumping around, but not headstands. For me with a smaller bust, I found I could wear this about the gym without a top on, as it comes high enough up my chest for coverage, with maternity leggings for belly coverage. (I am short at 5'2'')

Breastfeeding-wise, absolutely love it! The clips come undone easily with one hand, the panel pulls down easily and stays down while baby is feeding. The edge seams for the holes where your nipples are accessed through can sometimes feel a little abrasive against my nipples, and are not in absolute prime position for one of my breasts' nipples to poke through. It's still OK though and I can easily quickly readjust to get the nipple to show in the cut-out gap in the fabric.
There are those thicker padding inserts in the bra - which are equally as annoying in this bra as they are in any other bra, as they love to fold in half inside the bra if you wash it with them inside (and who doesn't, let's face it). Normally I would remove them but while breastfeeding my nipples are so prominent through any thinner fabric that they do need to be kept in. I cannot see my nipples through the bra with them in, so that's good.

I think my baby (still very young at one week) actively likes breastfeeding in this bra because there is a visible target for him to aim for with the nipples inside the cut-outs.

So to conclude, I find the level of support from this bra adequate for all activities at the gym including definitely high impact activities (with the caveat that I had a modest bust when I started wearing it. I have not been back to the gym with my new breastfeeding boobs yet)

I actively like wearing it to breastfeed in. It supports engorged early-days beasts really comfortably.

Potential problems: I can imagine that if your nipples were very sore, the the seams around the cut-out edges might be painful if they happen to rub. Other potential downside: the cut-outs might not match where your nipples are located. Otherwise, no issues with it.

5/5 will buy again, just waiting to see what size bust i end up with in the end!
Really positively surprised because I have high standards for sports kit and I am so, so happy with this.

My second purchase

I bought only one of these initially and when I realised that it was the only nursing bra I ever wanted to wear I invested in a second one. Washes and wears very well. Pads need to be straightened after wash sometimes. Clips very easy to release and close one handed! I don’t exercise in it…only walking and housework but I found the fit perfect for that. I usually wear 36B and followed sizing tool on site and selected S.

Not the great fit I expected

Bra is great for nursing. However I followed the size guide and think it's a little off. I am(32E and recommended medium but the band around chest is on the large size. It's fine for low intensity exercise or weights but not for any high impact exercise like jumping jacks where I feel very unsupported so size down if on the edge of size guide. This is a shame as that was my main purpose for investing in a natal active bra.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear you found the bra wasn't a great fit. If you usually wear a 32 band in normal bras it is likely you will have needed a S or even XS for the correct fit - as we mention on the size guide, we recommend measuring by your actual underbust measurement rather than bra sizing as there is often so much variation between stores and this allows it to be consistent. As an example I wear a 32C in most stores but as my underbust is only 28 I wear the sports bras in XS. We obviously would like you to have the best fit as this will also ensure the best support. If you would like any further help with sizing please drop us an email on help@natalactive.com. Claire x

Okay but not a great fit

I usually wear a 28GG so I bought a small as recommended on the website. I found that the band under my boobs wasn’t quite tight enough and the rest of the bra is a bit tight even without the padded inserts. I kept it as it looks okay underneath tops and it’s better than my normal nursing bras for exercise.

Hi There - sorry to hear you weren't happy with the fit of the bra. As a GG we would suggest you try the Freyja style as the Artemis fits up to a G cup which is why it was a little tight in the cup. The stiffer and thicker band might be a better fit for you too - if you need any help with sizing do pop us an email to help@natalactive.com and we'd be happy to assist! Claire x

Looks nice, not supportive enough

Nice bra. Easy to put on. Didn’t try feeding in it as I returned it. I felt that it wasn’t supportive enough for exercise.

Hi Stephanie, thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear the bra wasn't too your liking - it may be possible that you didn't have the correct fit if you found the support was not adequate as we have many mums that are regularly working out in our bras (myself included!) If you think this may be the case, please drop us an email to help@natalactive.com and we would be happy to double check you had the best fit for your shape. Best wishes, Claire x
